Wigan's all conquering Under 12's win the prestigious Land Rover Cup to book a trip to Twickenham
The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, saw an impressive 37 teams strutting their stuff across an under-12 and under-11 festival.
On route to the final the lads beat local rivals Preston Grasshoppers, followed by Bowden, Lymm, Heaton Moore, Stockport and Macclesfield.
The team clinched the Cup by beating highly fancied Sheffield Tigers two tries to nil in the Final
Wigan are rewarded for their effort and skill with not just another cup for the trophy cabinet, but a once in a lifetime trip to the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final on Saturday 1 June, where they will join in a Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup Parade at half-time.
One of the teams many star players Tom Carter, is quoted as saying
“It feels really good to win the tournament, we’ve all been nervous throughout the day but to finally win is great,” he said.
“I’m very happy that we have the opportunity to go to Twickenham, and hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to play there in the future.”
