Wigan welcomed Bolton & Altrincham Kersal for a round robin

Wigan ground out a hard fought win against a big Bolton side. The first half was evenly matched with both teams toe to toe. Wigan's solitary score came from Myles who ran hard and showed his pace to score up the middle of the pitch.

During the second half, Wigan used their brains rather than braun and ran the ball wide at every opportunity. Excellent runs from Kyle and Joe sucked in the defenders for Will to score his first try. Great work from Myles who fed William who turned 2 defenders inside out to score his second in the corner. Wigan's win was as a result of great defence, with Harry, Jacob, Kyle and MoM Brad as ever leading the way. Wigans final score came from a spectacular effort from Joss who weaved his way through half of the Bolton team and dummied his way to the try line.

The second game was a real test for Wigan, coming up against one of the best teams Wigan have played all season. During the early exchanges both teams were evenly matched, with the game being played from end to end. Wigans defence in the first half was again resolute with Kyle Brad and Harry leading the team in defence. However, AK scored a try almost on the half time whistle to go in 1 try up. In the second half Wigan began to tire from playing 2 games back to back which AK took advantage of with some well worked tries. Despite being 4-0 down, Wigan refused to let their heads go down. Great runs from Joe, Myles and Mack took Wigan forward but the AK defence held out.

3 great games of rugby were played with AK beating Bolton 11 tries to nil in the final game. Well done to all the teams for 3 excellent games of rugby, played in a great spirit by both players and spectators alike.
