Wigan U10'S made the short trip to south Manchester for the return fixture with BP

Wigan continued their rich vein of form with a hard fought win against a resilient BP side. During the early exchanges Wigan sat back and allowed the bigger BP forwards to maraude up the middle of the pitch and score a couple of tries.

Wigan's response was some strong tackling from Kyle and Harry which set up a score for Joe who ran hard and straight throughout the game. Missing a number of regulars Eli and Mack held their own at scrum half and hooker with the help of the hard working Myles, Jacob, Harry and Kyle.

A couple of long range efforts from Kyle and a second from Man of the match Joe, knocked the confidence out of the Park side who kept things tight with there strong scrum and skilful half back pairing.

Brad replaced Tom at half time and was showed his team mates how to tackle the big BP forwards as well as scoring an opportunist try. Harry scored a braced, finishing the second with a 'Chris Ashton style swallow dive' to the displeasure of Mr Hickman Snr.

Wigan finished the stronger of the 2 sides with Mack and Will always looking to run the ball wide at every occasion on a narrow sticky pitch.

Great team effort, with the BP coach advising in the clubhouse afterwards that he considered Wigan to be one of the best teams BP have played this season, which is not a bad compliment.

Apologies if I have missed anyone but our usual scribe Mr Southern has moved to a new big residence and the bulter has not set up the broadband yet.
