Old Brods played a lovely game and applied great pressure to the home side and ran in three tries in the first 25 minutes showing great pace and penetration in a strong back line. Try of the half in my view went to Wigan on 25 minutes with a great line break by Sam C followed by a deft pass out of the back of his hand to Logan who raced through to score, but unfortunately it went unconverted.

HT - 5-21

In the second half the home side showed great resilience and took the game much more to Old Brods in the forwards and made some good breaks. It was a tough and attritional game and the Wigan lads put their all into it, however Brods went over twice within the last 5 minutes to go 5-32 in the lead. Wigan knew they deserved better than this and scored a well deserved and excellently executed try through Isaac to restore some well deserved pride just before the end.
