A Walk in the Park....

Wigan's dominating score lines continued with a trip to West Park. Hoping for a more competitive game Wigan were two tries up within 5 minutes from Ethan Hulme and James Moran. Unfortunately this game would be played out with a complete domination from the Wigan lads in much the same way. General play in the first half brought a lot of mistakes from Wigan not helped by a novice referee, the players trying to score from every phase. Nevertheless, some great individual efforts from Ben Gill, Sam Carleton and Louis Marsh broke down the opposition, Kieran Rennox who constant attacking with the ball payed off with a well deserved try.

Wigan did knuckle down and the pack began to support each other, Xander Rundle scoring and then driving forward to lay off to Ethan Hulme for his second try. West Park's substitutions showed Wigan's strong defence, there closest efforts cancelled out by full back Joe Webb, Samual Snead and the best effort from Sam Carleton who chased down a player twice his size to keep a clean sheet. Toby Brannan was rewarded with a try after carving up the West Park defence, Tapiwa Stansbie and Joe Webb also adding to the tally.

Wigan unique style of play covered every blade of grass passing the ball from one side to the other, leading to centre Joe Keegan scoring his try and James Moran for his second. Special mentions to Harry Walsh who's confidence grows every week and Tom Seabrook, Jacob Weall and Max Mc Quhae showing 100% work rate in both defence and attack. With a strong wind, Wigan could only manage four conversions from Toby Brannan, Kieran Rennox and Sam Carleton.
