Relentless Lions....

Last time these two teams met over a year ago, it was a cracker! Nail biting stuff that eventually led to a draw, so.... bring on game day for a closely contested match. Unfortunately as the score line will tell you, this wasn't the case.

Plenty to write about but not wanting to repeat myself, this was a dominating performance from start to finish. From the kick off Wigan took control and forced the visitors back with every touch of the ball, possession for the full game was 85-90% + in Wigan's favour.

Welcoming two new players... Toby Brannan and Kieran Rennox who made a great addition to the team will hopefully be tested in future games but nevertheless showed fantastic qualities in slotting into the team.

Special mentions to prop Ethan Hulme, who's first half runs made great yards and to the ever present Sam Carleton who's passing and ruthless individual ball carrying kept Wigan on the front foot. Louis Marsh, who had scored a hatrick of tries the week before ploughed through the Fylde defense time and time again which earned him the 'MOM' award.

Wigan have been beaten only once this season by an individual player within a team, Wigan have won all the other games and deserves a lot of credit whereas each player has contributed to the win.
