The 'biggest' set of lads to date graced the Douglas Valley turf to take on an unbeaten Wigan......
In brief as the score line shows, Wigan dominated this game from start to finish. Realizing there opponents strengths, Wigan were just too quick around the rucks and passed the ball across the line to open up a weary Burnley defence.
The game was stopped in the first half when an incident occurred between 2 Burnley players who accidentally collided with each other. Thankfully, Wigan's No1 first aider Dr Johnathan Seabrook was at hand to take control of the situation, 4 ambulance's and a helicopter later the Burnley player was whisked away to hospital. With the Burnleys players consent, the game continued.
Stand out performances from Joe Keegan, Ben Gill and Joss Parker helped to keep the pressure on. Sam Parker led the pack around the field well but the stand out man (and Man of the Match) belonged to 'Sam Carleton who's relentless runs kept Burnley on the back foot for most of the game...... Well Done Lads....
