Broughton Park 7 - 16 Wigan RUFC

Team - Archie, Gaius, Jack, Jacob, James, Joe, Jude, Lewis, Max, Nathan, Oliver, William.

A good game in excellent weather allowed Wigan's youngest to really rev up the U7's rugby machine exhibiting some of the finest running, passing and tagging ever.

Ball handling was good with regular 2nd and even the odd 3rd reciever play.

As is becoming the norm, tagging was excellent, notable taggers today - James, Jack, Gaius, Joe, ...... in fact, I should just copy the team sheet from above as the defensive play by everyone was red hot.

The game saw the team showing respect for the touch lines too, only running out a couple of times.

Most of the boys crossed to score with Gaius, Oliver and James bagging 2.

To sum up (and just in case I haven't made myself clear!) today's performance was a real cracker. We played open and quick player rotations to allow a fluid game involving everyone. Pleasingly, there was no noticeable lulls in team performance as the substitutions took place which says a lot about the U7's discipline and attitude to the sport.
