In common with a number of teams in the inaugural Under 19's Colts league the lure of higher education has caused us problems and forced us to withdraw. Those players remaining have been successfully integrated into the senior sides and have increased the competition for places.
However, we should recognise the achievements of this group of players as they came first when we resurrected our Junior Section. In their last two seasons they won the Lancashire Junior and Senior Colts Shields, the Senior Colts League E, the Tarleton 7's and were runners up in the Cock of the North challenge.
This success was built upon the foundation of a cohesive management team comprising Martin Callaghan, Tony Brookes, Sean Callaghan, Nick Hayes and Tony Hollinrake. Our thanks should also go to all the others who have contributed over the years including Graham Webb, Lynn Hayes, Andy Mayoh, Susie Olsen, Susan Brookes and Adrian Goulding. Further support has come from the Raven and Fostering Solutions who have proved generous sponsors.
